Whether you are considering landscape improvements, a complete landscape renovation or a total new install, you are on the verge of making a significant investment not only in your property but also the enjoyment that you obtain from it and ultimately an improvement to your lifestyle while increasing your living area.
At BUR-HAN, we would encourage you to make the most of that investment with a professionally produced landscape design. The design will ensure that your vision, requirements and preferences are clearly laid out and an exact scope of work can be determined and is not open to interpretation by the contractor. The design outlines your expectations for your contractor and allows the contractor to price the project accordingly.
A well laid out plan will provide functionality, flow and aesthetic appeal whether creating a new outdoor living space or enhancing an existing one. Carefully chosen plants will provide seasonal interest throughout the year while considering the microclimate and conditions of your yard to ensure optimum plant health and keeping maintenance requirements to a minimum by considering mature plant sizes and growth rates.
A good landscape designer or Architect will help you to interpret your yard and garden space and facilitate the development of a landscape plan tailored to your specific needs and preferences in order to create a new or enhanced outdoor living space.
Before engaging a designer or architect we would suggest browsing several different sources for inspiration and help to determine and convey the style, function accessories that you may want to consider for your project. Some sources you might consider would include magazines, gardening related websites. We would also suggest browsing websites of some of our suppliers and manufactures of some of the products we use such as: The Landscape Centre, Northwest Landscape Supply, Belgard, Barkman and Abbotsford Concrete Pavers.
While we do not provide Landscape Design in-house, we would be happy to refer you to a landscape designer or architect that we are confident will provide you with the best possible service from an informal simple plan to a full blown integrated landscape. We believe that the landscape designer or architect should be employed to represent you and your needs and not what the contractor would like to sell you.
